5 Things Every "20-Something Who Studies Abroad" Hears When Home For Holidays

The title is quite self-explanatory. As a 20-something who has been studying in London for two years, I have gained enough experience to list the cliché phrases I hear every time I'm back at home.
Read along, you know you will relate to it, in disturbing levels.
1. "You took good care of yourself. ..."
Yes dear, you have gained weight. This is the typical first phrase you hear generally from a
female member of the family, which can range from your mother to grandmother or even an
exceptionally polite sister.
2. "So what will you do with your degree when you graduate?"
If your undergrad degree is not Medicine, Law or a sort of Engineering, this is the question that you
will keep getting until you announce to world that you found yourself an actual, paid job.
(P.S. If you are studying literature, languages, history, art or so, this question is faced more often.)
3. "Are you dating anyone?"
The unescapable. Like they don't know the answer to this after stalking you on every existing social
media website. C'mon.
4. "You're learning how to do all the housework!"
Um.
5. "Do you need money?"
The mother of every rhetorical question existed in the world.
